Other Details to Note

Since it is an old building, we advise our guests to be wary of using too many electronic devices at once (ie. multiple hair dryers) as you could trip a circuit breaker. Also, since it is an antique home, the stairs can be a bit steep and windy. Regarding the bathrooms, there is a full en-suite bath off the queen bedroom and a half bath it is located on the first level. The full bathroom is only accessible from the queen bedroom. Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

Marblehead is a quaint seaside town that offers many options for both locals and vacationers. Visit any of our local beaches — Gas House Beach, Devereux Beach or Grace Oliver's Beach, walk around Old Town and browse the local shops, or visit one of our many restaurants, such as The Landing, Sea Salt, Maddie's Sail Loft or The Beacon and enjoy some time with family and friends. If you take a quick drive over to Marblehead Neck — "The Neck", as it's commonly known — you can spend the day at the Chandler Hovey Park enjoying the lighthouse and all of the boats sailing in and out of the harbor. Or, head over to Castle Rock and watch the waves crash against the rocks. You will never get bored touring the lovely sights of Marblehead! And, if you are lucky enough to visit us during the month of July, you are in for a treat! The Festival of the Arts hosts a wonderful array of music, art and celebration (not to mention fireworks) to celebrate the birth of this great nation. It's a series of fun-filled days that you will be sure to enjoy! And, if you are visiting during the month of October, you have to venture over to Salem to take in Haunted Happenings! It's a must if you are in the area at that time of year.

Our stay was so lovely. The house felt like it held a lot of history and the sleeping arrangements were very comfortable and clean. Marblehead was such a cute town and we are so happy we decided to stay there instead of busy Salem!

we decided on a last minute getaway to Marblehead and were fortunate to found Amy's place. The place was in a historic district within 5 min walk to harbor and the Civil war era fort. My family enjoyed morning walk and evening stroll to the harbor. The airbnb was well stocked really felt like home away from home or a quaint bed and breakfast feel. Very walkable to town center where there are cute shops, bakery, ice cream place. Also found a great place for lobsters 7 min walk away. My daughter enjoyed feeding ducks in a near by pond in the morning. Amy's instructions were helpful and clear. We had a wonderful stay and would def stay again or recommend to friends and family.
